iDAS V10.0.0.0 (26/06/2017)

Devotech V11 Beta (May 2019)

An exciting new user interface for increased productivity.

In the latest version of Devotech iDAS the biggest highlight is the new dialog that has been introduced which allows users to work more efficiently. Users will no longer need to switch between the Devotech iDAS dialog and Autodesk® Civil 3D® to complete designs but will now be able to do the design within the dialog and make any edits necessary within the Devotech iDAS dialog before going back to the Autodesk Civil 3D interface.

A few other exciting enhancements:
• For visualisation a backdrop map (aerial, road and hybrid) can be displayed when viewing the pipe network in the Sewer Manager.
• To speed up the design process users can now grade their sewer networks in the Sewer Manager.
• For efficiency the Sewer Manager automatically calculates house connection alternatives which the user can then choose from.

The latest version of Devotech iDAS is compatible with Autodesk Civil 3D 2015-2020

iDAS V10.0.0.0 (October 2017)

In this version of iDAS new features have been introduced and compatibility with Autodesk® Civil 3D® 2018 has been achieved. iDAS now runs in Autodesk Civil 3D 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017 and 2018.

New Commands

Corridors

  • Add Gap between Regions - Adds a 1mm gap between corridor regions.

  • Edit Road Widths - Updates the offset alignments of a corridor to change the width of the road.

  • Rebuild Corridors - A special rebuild function that will update the left and right edge levels of a corridor(s).

  • Rebuild Auto - Switch automatic rebuild of all corridors on or off.

  • General Intersection Wizard - Creates an intersection between two corridors.

  • Drape Corridor Featurelines - Set the edge levels of a corridor based on a surface (Ideal for roads on a platform).

  • Intersection Check - Checks the integrity of the levels of intersecting roads.

  • Intersection Bellmouth - Creates intersection bellmouths according to user defined parameters.

Network

  • Project House Sewer Connection Lines - Projects house connections onto the pipe profile view (long section).

Profiles

  • Export Data Band Settings - Exports the data band settings of profile views (Profile 1, Profile 2 and Source) to an XML file that can be imported to other profile views.

  • Import Data Band Settings - Imports the XML file that was exported with the Export Data Band Settings command and replaces the settings in profile view band sets (Profile 1, Profile 2 and Source).

Plan Production

  • Corridor Production Wizard - Creates plan production for all selected corridors.  Minimal editing needed after plan production creation compared to the Autodesk Civil 3D method.

  • Rotate North Arrow - Rotates the north arrow based one the viewport rotation.  This function also fixes a known bug in Autodesk Civil 3D

  • General Plan Production Wizard - Creates plan production for all selected corridors.  Minimal editing needed after plan production creation compared to the Autodesk Civil 3D method.

Setting Out

  • Alignment Tags - Creates alignment tags for all selected alignments automatically.

Resources

  • Network Licence Manager - Interface for querying your iDAS network licence remotely from a user's PC.

Utilities

  • Explode Polyline OD - Explodes a polyline that has object data. The resulting lines contain the same object data as the original polyline. Useful for converting GIS data (shapefiles, sdf, etc.) into CSV files to be used with the Import CSV NT command.

  • Import CSV NT - Creates a pipe network from CSV files that represent structures and pipes. During the import you can map network parts to unique IDs contained in the CSVs. This gives you total control over which pipes and structures to use.

Profiles

  • Export Data Band Settings - Exports the data band settings of profile views (Profile 1, Profile 2 and Source) to an XML file that can be imported to other profile views.

New Commands

 

Utilities

  • Modify Views - Batch modification of datum, height or position of profile and section views.

  • Move Sample Lines - This function works similar to the corridor section editor of AutoCAD Civil 3D.  You can select one or multiple sample lines, choose an increment value to be applied to the station of the sample lines, and move forward or backwards through your corridor. The benefit of this feature is that you can choose the style and labels that you want to be displayed when checking your design. This feature is perfect to review the complete design from start to end of your corridor, at any interval.

  • Refresh Split View - Refreshes the split profile views when splitting or moving profile views to ensure it is displayed correctly.  This function resolves a known issue in AutoCAD Civil 3D where the split profiles are changes are not applied when set by the user.

 

RELOADIDASCUI -  Loads the iDAS ribbon into the current user profile and unloads any old ribbons that might exist. This function is available from the command line only.

 

Pipe Catalog

  • Added pipe catalog for Vinidex PVC-O pipes.

 

Template

  • Added new table styles with Chainage Y X.

  • All coordinate values in tables and labels have numbers grouped to three digits with gap in between.

  • Default font changed to Arial.

  • Grading diamond marker color changed to magenta.

  • HGL and EGL lines are now in a separate layer so they can easily be switched off separately.

  • Improved pipe band sets.  The correct geometry points are ticked for the band sets with the information at the structures at intervals.

  • Kerb inlets are set to a floor thickness of 0 to ensure that a floor slab is not displayed for kerb inlets in the profile and section views.
