iDAS Installation (Standalone and Cloud)
Before you start the installation

Ensure that you have Autodesk Civil 3D installed and licensed. If you do not have Autodesk Civil 3D installed, you can download a free trial from the Autodesk website.

The Devotech iDAS installation supports all Autodesk Civil 3D versions from 2022 to 2026.

Ensure that all previously installed versions of Devotech iDAS have been uninstalled.
Download the installation
The Devotech iDAS installation file can be downloaded here. The size is about 500 MB.
Typical Installation
Below are the instructions for installing Devotech iDAS for Autodesk Civil 3D 2022-2026

Ensure that Autodesk Civil 3D is closed before starting the installation.

If you have Devotech iDAS version 8 or older on your computer, uninstall it from the Start – All Programs− Devotech or from Control panel – Programs and features.:

Devotech iDAS version 9 and newer are automatically uninstalled during the installation process.

Double-click on the installation file (.exe file) which you downloaded and perform the installation (the image below shows the installation file for version 12.3.0.0)

Click Yes to continue the installation:

Click Next:

Specify the license type. This setting can be changed during product registration so there is no need to reinstall Devotech iDAS when the license type changes:

Read the license agreement:

Click on the Install button to install the product:
Devotech iDAS files are installed in the following folder:
C:\ProgramData\Autodesk\ApplicationPlugins\DEVOTECH.Bundle
All the Devotech iDAS support files (.ctb, dwt, help file, assemblies and others) can be found in the following folder:
C:\ProgramData\Autodesk\ApplicationPlugins\DEVOTECH.Bundle\Contents\Support
Silent Installation by Using a Command Line
Devotech iDAS can be installed using a command line installation.
The following parameters can be used:
/SP-
Disables the “This will install... Do you wish to continue?” prompt at the beginning of Setup.
/SILENT, /VERYSILENT
Instructs Setup to be silent or very silent. When the Setup is silent the wizard and the background window are not displayed, but the installation progress window is. When a setup is very silent the installation progress window is not displayed. Everything else is normal, for example error messages during installation are displayed.
/SUPPRESSMSGBOXES
Instructs Setup to suppress message boxes. Only has an effect when combined with '/SILENT' or '/VERYSILENT'.
The default response in situations where there's a choice is:
• Yes in a 'Keep newer file?' situation.
• No in a 'File exists, confirm overwrite.' situation.
• Abort in Abort/Retry situations.
• Cancel in Retry/Cancel situations.
• Yes (=continue) in a DiskSpaceWarning/DirExists/DirDoesntExist/NoUninstallWarning/ExitSetupMessage/ConfirmUninstall situation.
These message boxes are not suppressible:
• The About Setup message box.
• The Exit Setup? message box.
/CLOSEAPPLICATIONS
Instructs Setup to close applications using files that need to be updated by Setup if possible.
/USENLM=True
Indicates whether the license is a network license or not. If "True" is provided then a network license is used, otherwise if "False" is provided a single-user license is used.
/IPADDRESS=127.0.0.1
Supply an IP address of the network license server, where "127.0.0.1" must be changed to the license server's IP address.
/HOSTNAME=localhost
The host name of the network license server where "hostname" is the actual host name of the server.
/PORT=1245
The port of the network license server, default is 1245
Example of a Standalone Silent Setup:
"Devotech iDAS 12.02.5.03 Setup" /SP- /VERYSILENT /SUPPRESSMSGBOXES
Example of Network Silent Setup:
"Devotech iDAS 9.0.0.0 RC2 Setup.exe" /SP- /VERYSILENT /SUPPRESSMSGBOXES /CLOSEAPPLICATIONS /USENLM=True /IPADDRESS=127.0.0.1 /HOSTNAME=localhost /PORT=1245
