Devotech iDAS® Installation (Standalone and Cloud)
Before you start the installation

Ensure that you have Autodesk® Civil 3D® installed and licensed. If you do not have Autodesk Civil 3D installed, you can download a free trial from the Autodesk website.

The Devotech iDAS® installation supports all Autodesk Civil 3D versions from 2022 to 2026.

Ensure that all previously installed versions of Devotech iDAS have been uninstalled.
Download the installation
The Devotech iDAS installation file can be downloaded here. The size is about 500 MB.
Typical Installation
Below are the instructions for installing Devotech iDAS for Autodesk Civil 3D 2022-2026
1. Close Autodesk Civil 3D
2. If you have Devotech iDAS version 8 and older on your computer, then uninstall it from the Control panel – Programs and features:

Devotech iDAS version 9 and newer are automatically uninstalled during the installation process.
3. Double-click the downloaded installation file (.exe) to begin the installation process (the example below shows the installation file for version 2026.0.5.26):

4. Click Yes to continue the installation:

5. Click Next:

6. Preview the note about iDAS What’s New and backwards compatibility:

7. Preview the location for the activity logs and click Next:

8. Read the license agreement:

9. Click on the Install button to install the product:

Devotech iDAS files are installed in the following folder:
C:\Program Files\Autodesk\ApplicationPlugins\DEVOTECH.Bundle
All the Devotech iDAS support files (.ctb, dwt, help file, assemblies and others) can be found in the following folder:
C:\Program Files\Autodesk\ApplicationPlugins\DEVOTECH.Bundle\Contents\Support
Deploy iDAS with License File using Software Deployment Tools
The instructions below are intended for the IT department responsible for deploying iDAS software on users' machines.
The deployment must be done in two steps:

Install iDAS on the user's computer

Replace the default iDAS license file with your license file by following the instruction below:
a) Rename your license file to: iDAS_LM.lic
b) Copy the renamed file to the following location (overwrite the existing file if prompted):
C:\Users\Public\Documents\Devotech\License
Silent Installation by using a Command Line
Devotech iDAS can be installed using a command line installation.
The following parameters can be used:
/SP-
Disables the “This will install... Do you wish to continue?” prompt at the beginning of Setup.
/SILENT, /VERYSILENT
Instructs Setup to be silent or very silent. When the Setup is silent the wizard and the background window are not displayed, but the installation progress window is. When a setup is very silent the installation progress window is not displayed. Everything else is normal, for example error messages during installation are displayed.
/SUPPRESSMSGBOXES
Instructs Setup to suppress message boxes. Only has an effect when combined with '/SILENT' or '/VERYSILENT'.
The default response in situations where there's a choice is:
• Yes, in a 'Keep newer file?' situation.
• No in a 'File exists, confirm overwrite.' situation.
• Abort in Abort/Retry situations.
• Cancel in Retry/Cancel situations.
• Yes (=continue) in a DiskSpaceWarning/DirExists/DirDoesntExist/NoUninstallWarning/ExitSetupMessage/ConfirmUninstall situation.
These message boxes are not suppressible:
• The About Setup message box.
• The Exit Setup? message box.
/CLOSEAPPLICATIONS
Instructs Setup to close applications that use files that need to be updated by Setup, if possible.
Example of a Silent Setup:
"Devotech iDAS 2026.0.5.26 Setup" /SP- /VERYSILENT /SUPPRESSMSGBOXES
