Devotech iDAS has the ability to create a survey grid in model space within seconds, however it is sometimes necessary to create a survey grid only for a viewport in the layout. Autodesk Civil 3D contains a tool that creates a survey grid around a viewport, unfortunately it can't multiply the coordinates by -1.
A .lsp file is available online which also creates a survey grid around a viewport, again, this option can't multiply the coordinates by -1.
Devotech Group of Companies modified the .lisp file to adhere to the South African conditions. See the video below for the entire workflow.
