New demo video: Running TUFLOW analysis through iDAS in Civil 3D
Updated: 2 days ago
Hydraulic modelling projects often require engineers to transfer data between multiple applications, manage numerous input files, and manually prepare model components before an analysis can begin.
Our latest demo video showcases how Devotech iDAS streamlines the entire TUFLOW workflow directly within Civil 3D, helping engineers to get results from hydraulic simulation faster.

The video demonstrates a complete TUFLOW modelling workflow, including:
Reviewing Civil 3D project data, such as surfaces, pipe networks, culverts, and alignments
Preparing model components, including materials, soils, source areas, boundaries, and quadtrees
Configuring pipe network properties for SWMM and TUFLOW analysis
Setting up source areas, infiltration parameters, and 2D boundaries
Creating 1D/2D connections for storm drain inlets and culverts
Generating TUFLOW input files and running the simulation
Reviewing results directly in TUFLOW integration dialog, Civil 3D model space (surfaces, profile views, section views), and QGIS
