Devotech iDAS can create a dynamic connection between the Civil 3D profile and the corridor feature line. This means that if you change the corridor, the profiles can be updated automatically. There is no need to recreate these profiles as you would do with standard Civil 3D. There is a lot of practical applications such as displaying the road edge levels, guardrails, drainage details and other objects in the profile view. See the example below from the dual carriageway profile view:
However, if you want the profile to display values you must make sure that the connect checkbox is checked in the Civil 3D Corridor Properties window:
The profile style can be set to _No Display or any other style. It has no impact on the profile values.
